Promised, planned, but not denied.

John 12 covers Jesus’ final week before His death. Mary of Bethany anoints Jesus’ feet with expensive perfume, foreshadowing His burial, while Judas criticizes the waste and plots betrayal. Jesus then makes His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, welcomed with palm branches as crowds shout “Hosanna.” He teaches that His impending death is like a grain of wheat falling to the ground—only by dying can it bear much fruit. Jesus calls His followers to serve and follow Him, promising light to guide them even in coming judgment. Finally, a voice from heaven affirms His mission, and although many believe, some cling to unbelief to fulfill Scripture.
