Acts 9:1 31 tells how Saul, a fierce persecutor of Christians, is stopped on the road to Damascus by a blinding light and Jesus’ voice. Struck blind, he spends three days praying until Ananias, guided by God, restores his sight and fills him with the Holy Spirit. Saul is baptized, strengthened, and begins preaching that Jesus is God’s Son. Though some plot to kill him, he escapes in a basket and, with Barnabas’s support, joins the Jerusalem believers. His dramatic turnaround fuels the church’s growth across Judea, Galilee, and Samaria.
